The Department of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, established in 2021, collaborates with Cognizant as its "Knowledge Partner." This industryfocused course combines the latest in AI and ML. To support student learning, they introduced the AIdriven RMK Nextgen app. Together with Cognizant, they've set up an Artificial Intelligence Centre of Excellence featuring state-of-the-art labs.
The department ensures personal mentoring with a student-mentor ratio 20:1. Modern online teaching tools, smart classrooms, and labs enhance the learning experience. Cognizant designed 40% of the curriculum, which covers core computer science topics, AI, and ML, such as Machine Learning, Deep Learning, and Natural Language Processing. Students use tools like Python, TensorFlow, and PyTorch. MNC experts train the faculty, who work closely with Cognizant to balance theoretical and practical knowledge. Every course emphasizes hands-on experience and real-world projects, and students undertake capstone projects in AI and ML addition to their theoretical knowledge. All the courses offered are Lab integrated as per the suggestions provided by the industry experts. Students are engaged with realworld projects mentored by industry resource persons. Capstone projects in the area of AI and ML are provided for the students to enhance their skills.
